Cormac who was an accomplished hurler found his health deteriorating after matches and heavy training decided to get to his problem checked out,and this led to the discovery of his underlying heart condition. Channeling his efforts towards problems relating to the heart , Cormac decided to link up several charities namley The Irish Heart Foundation, The Cormac Trust, and Tallagh Hospital Cardical Screening Clinic. After taking advice, Cormac was told that cycling would be ok so he decided to embark on a tour of Ireland for his chosen charities and first part of that tour would take his to Cormac Mc Anallens grave, the former Tyrone caption who passed away with a similar condition.

The event starts on Friday night 5th April with a quiz in the Bottle of Benburb for all masterminds with the Dublin cyclists in attendance. Next day Saturday morning event will start at 10.30 in Benburb with the Tyrone leg of the journey setting off through the Sperrins to Donegal.
