 Course Content

This half day refresher course will provide an introduction to Basic First Aid and the Equipment & resources to be able to apply basic First Aid until a more qualified person arives employees. They will be in charge of basic First Aid needs. This appointed individual will be given responsibility for taking care of equipment, updating supplies and calling for the Emergency Services when required.

This Course covers:

• how to deal with an emergency

• accident reporting

• the skills to help someone who is:

• unresponsive and breathing

• unresponsive and not breathing

• having a seizure.

• is choking (adult)

• is feeling faint

• has a head injury

       Note:  It is vital that all employers who recognise any of their employees to have an existing condition, a more detailed First Aid                      Course must be undertaken.

Assessment

Our course offer a practical, hands-on approach that delivers the skills and confidence to use first aid skills in a real life situation.

Being awarded with the Course Certificate is achieved through satisfactory completion of each module, continuous observation by the trainer and written assessments

Course Participants must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.

HSE & OFQUAL require at least 4 training and contact hours for course qualification.
Participants must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.

Qualification

On successful completion of the half day course, you will receive a basic First Aid at Work Certificate which is OFQUAL approved and valid for one year.

Location

We can present and deliver the course on your premises, however we will need to complete a room-check to ensure the room and location will allow appropriate communication and practical hand-on skills to happen. This will help to ensure employees get the most out of the course. We can also organise external training venues if suits better
