Course Content
This 2 day refresher course will provides Requalification to participating employees, so they continue to be suitably qualified as per the content of the 3 Day Course they completed prior. This course updates the first aid skills of those who need to renew their First Aid at work certificate.
The course meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations.
Our 2 day course will provide participating employees with a renewed 3 Day First Aid At Work Skills Certificate. They will renew their skills and be observed through practical skills presentation and assessment
The 2 Day First Aid at Work Course will give your workforce the first aid skills to help a colleague who:

Is having experiencing a medical emergency involving:

diabetic emergency (low blood sugar)
-
severe allergic reaction
-
asthma attack
-
stroke
-
angina attack
-
heart attack
-
seizure (adult)
-
minor and serious burns
-
-
has an injury to a bone, muscle or joint (including spinal injuries).

is unresponsive and breathing
-
is unresponsive and not breathing
-
is choking (adult)
-
is feeling faint
-
has been poisoned
-
has a head injury
-
has hypothermia or heat exhaustion
The course also includes information on:

dealing with an emergency:

assessing a casualty

monitoring a casualty

where and who to get help from

electrical incidents – how to manage

accident recording and reporting
-
control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH).

The 2 day Requal course includes a practical, hands-on automated external defibrillator (AED) awareness session using our First Aid Trainers Defibrillator.
Assessment
Our course offer a practical, hands-on approach that delivers the skills and confidence to use first aid skills in a real life situation.
Being awarded with the Course Certificate is achieved through satisfactory completion of each module, continuous observation by the trainer and written assessments
Course Participants must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
HSE & OFQUAL require at least 18 training and contact hours for course qualification.
Participants must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.
Qualification
On successful completion of the 2 day course, you will receive the 2 Day Requalification, First Aid at Work Certificate which is OFQUAL approved and valid for three years.
Location
We can present and deliver the course on your premises, however we will need to complete a room-check to ensure the room and location will allow appropriate communication and practical hand-on skills to happen. This will help to ensure employees get the most out of the course. We can also organise external training venues if suits better
